Ali Mahmoud El Abdallah, President of the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association, called on the Lebanese state to develop a long-term vision to consolidate and strengthen economic cooperation between Lebanon and China, considering this as one of the key pillars that can help return the country to the path of recovery and growth.
El Abdallah emphasized that many promising opportunities exist across various sectors, which can be leveraged within the framework of implementing a joint Lebanese-Chinese economic program, relying also on the strong relations between the two friendly countries and China’s willingness to support Lebanon.
He considered that “Lebanon today has an important opportunity to develop and enhance its economy by benefiting from China’s advanced expertise, particularly in information and communications technology, energy, renewable energy, industry, and many other fields.”
While stressing that “past experiences in our economic relations have been fruitful and productive and it is essential to build upon them for the future,” El Abdallah also called for “establishing close cooperation between the Lebanese and Chinese private sectors through intensified communication and organizing joint meetings to identify opportunities and act upon them.”
