Following the conclusion of the conference sessions, Mr. El Abdallah commented:
“China is a great power with a unique model that is fundamentally based on cooperation, understanding, peace, and shared economic growth, which enables it to take the initiative in shaping global decisions. Without China’s role in our world today, it would be difficult to achieve a balanced international order. Understanding the Chinese model allows us to develop Lebanese Chinese and Arab Chinese relations faster and more effectively.
We therefore consider China a globally exceptional strategic choice, capable of leading developing nations, while also promoting stronger relations between countries and creating opportunities for growth and the strengthening of local economies. During the 14th BRICS Summit hosted by China recently, the remarkable global role that China plays was evident particularly in urging major powers to adopt responsible economic policies and reminding them of the importance of supporting the participation of developing countries and emerging markets in international economic decision-making.”
El Abdallah continued:
“China today represents the center of gravity of the global economy. It is undoubtedly a pioneering, innovative, and creative technological nation that has achieved enormous economic and social prosperity progress that continues to this day, contributing not only to the well-being of the Chinese people but also to improving lives everywhere.”
