President of the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association Ali Mahmoud El-Abdallah visited His Excellency Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Lebanon Mr. Wang Qijian to congratulate him on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Lebanese diplomatic relations

 

 

The President of the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association, Mr. Ali Mahmoud El Abdallah, visited H.E. Wang Kejian, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Lebanon.
The meeting, held at the Chinese Embassy, was also attended by the Economic and Commercial Counselor, Ms. Zhang Fengling, along with several embassy staff members.

 


During the visit, Mr. Al Abdallah extended his congratulations to Ambassador Wang Kejian on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Lebanon.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Wang Kejian welcomed Mr. Al Abdallah and thanked him for his visit and his congratulations on this special occasion. He noted that this year’s anniversary coincides with the election of General Michel Aoun as President of the Lebanese Republic and the appointment of Prime Minister Saad Hariri to form the new government. The Ambassador expressed his hope that the election of a new president would mark the beginning of an era of prosperity, growth, and stability for the Lebanese people and wished Prime Minister Hariri success in forming the new government.

Ambassador Wang also emphasized the importance of the activities carried out by the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association, particularly those that strengthen the historic relations between the two countries.

For his part, Mr. El Abdallah highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral ties and promoting economic cooperation through the exchange of business delegations and investment opportunities between Lebanon and China.

He also stressed the significance of the cooperation agreement signed with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in addition to the numerous joint activities carried out in collaboration with Chinese governmental bodies.
Mr. El Abdallah gave an overview of the Association’s past initiatives, organized in coordination with the Chinese Embassy, as well as the business visits and delegations that had been arranged to China.

He added that Lebanese-Chinese relations have deep historical roots, dating back to the early 20th century, and were officially formalized 45 years ago through the establishment of diplomatic relations. Throughout these decades, the relationship has been characterized by cooperation in political, economic, social, and cultural fields. The People’s Republic of China has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to supporting the Lebanese people’s welfare and stability.


About the Lebanese-Chinese Business Association

The Lebanese-Chinese Businessmen and Businesswomen Association (LCBA) was established with the primary goal of strengthening economic and trade relations between Lebanon and China.
Its founders built upon a solid network of established economic relations in both countries.

The official launch ceremony of the Association in Beirut in early 2015 was a significant event that brought together a large number of prominent figures dedicated to enhancing Lebanese-Chinese cooperation.
Held at the Adnan Kassar Building for Arab Economy, the event was attended by officials, heads of economic organizations, representatives of international institutions, media figures, economists, and business leaders.
